4th Sunday After Easter

Ps. 97:1,2

Ps. 97:1,2

Cantate Domino canticum novum, alleluia: quia mirabilia fecit Dominus, alleluia: ante conspectum gentium relevavit justiam suam, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia. Salvabit sibi dextera ejus: et brachium sanctum ejus. Gloria Patri.

Sing ye to the Lord a new canticle, alleluia, for the Lord hath done wonderful things, alleluia; He hath revealed His justice in the sight of theĀ  Gentiles, allelulia, allelulia, alleluia. His right hand, and His holy arm, hath gotten Him the victory. Glory be to the Father.

The Pope will be arriving in Israel soon. In so doing, it’s worth remembering Christ’s words in reference to the Paraclete:

…when He is come, He will convince the world of sin and of justice and of judgement. Of sin, because they believed not in Me: and of justice, because I go to the Father, and you shall see me no longer: and of judgement, because the prince of this world is already judged.

Let’s pray that Benedict XVI doesn’t get his priorities mixed up this week.
